1.8a "fixes" ?? PLEASE FIX THEM!

Just put 1.8a on an 80GB drive in the Kron -- complete install as recommended by MSUS. It's supposed to have all the "bug-fixes" according to company information.
So I put together a simple 2 hour video ... 10 pieces of video (via firewire) in the recommended DV-Direct mode; 9 transitions; 1 short title ...
Quick dump out to DV and loop through to 30 VHS tapes ... or so I thought ...
Outputting to DV was useless ... it jumped and jittered every few seconds, so I quickly killed that idea and rewired to come out via YC connections & RCA audio.
All appeared OK, but then around 55 minutes, it locked up tight. No error ... no explanation ... no bad video ... just locked up. Messed up the 30 VHS dubs running ...
What a mess!
PLEASE!! MacroSystem ... FIX THESE BUGS!!!!!!
