WOW!!!! That is way overpriced. You are better off donating this unit to a school for a write-off. It renders too slow and everybody is getting the Canopus---DV Storm 2.

Correct me if I am wrong..But isn't the propack just a BIT CHEAPER THAN 500?!?!?
Look... we were all suckered once into MSUS products :::sigh::: But not getting suckered into another 1300 dollar loss.

Hey Chris ... chill, man! That $1300 is a great deal for a Avio DV-Pro. Yes, the ProPack costs $500 -- and it includes most of the Kron's bugginess.
It's got a bigger drive than the original, plus a bunch of software.
The only downside is that it has SmartEdit, but a new user shouldn't have a problem with that.
