Avio Disaster ! Any Advice? Can't Post

I just recently purchased a new Avio for a church and it has produced disasterous results! The audio wouldn't render at certain points, portions of the storyboard wouldn't play (or played out of sequence) etc. MacroSystem is aware of the problems and informed me that these are software "glitches" that they are working on. Is this type of appliance worth keeping (and waiting for the release of the improved software) or should we return this and consider a computer-based system i.e. Premiere or Final Cut Pro? The concern is the "learning curve" for these software titles.

Here's a tip from an "Old Timer" Jim Meeker.
There is a correct order to editing with the AVIO that you must know about right away. Before you start to learn all the wonderful things that you can do with it......you must learn the way that AVIO needs to be used.
First......edit all scenes to the story board
Second.....put in all transitions and inserts
Third......put in all titles and render them
Fourth.....add sound to the audio mix tracks

This is a very simplified way of listing it, but you will quickly find that if you do the music before you are completely happy with the storyboard and make a change in it, then the music will shift out of place and you'll have to render it again. This can be very frustrating and time consuming, until you figure out that it's better to just wait till you are done with the story board and completely happy with it....then do your audio work. This way, when you put it in there and render it. you are done.
When you have time away from playing with all the neat stuff that you can do with the AVIO, read about how the three audio tracks affect each other. For instance, the narration track will automatically lower the music track "During" the time that there is speaking in the narration track going on. The sliders in the audio page are fun to learn about. You will find that they have an accumulative effect, and will do things that you don't expect if you don't know this.
Check out Draco's site, They have a great bulletin board dedicated to the AVIO.
Good Luck.
