Avio Signal processing Can't Post

I upgraded to V1.8 software prior to XMas. I now find that any signal recorded to any tape format, digital,SVHS or VHS and captured via an OHMI compliant Firewirecard into the PC results with overlaps of the last and first frames of very scene cut. This is also the case if the video is streamed directly to the PC from the Avio. All other source video which has not been in the Avio is Captured in the PC perfectly and all other Avio footage prior to Version 1.8 is captured OK. All video from the Avio can be recorded onto all tape formats and played to TV without fault. It would appear that the manufacturers of this product have successfully negated my ability to write VCD and SVCD copies of edited footage. Another conspiracy? this time I will be contacting our consumer watchdog to have the matter investigated for unfair business practises.
PS. My last problem of Video output from the PC being unable to be captured by the Avio turned out to be video card . It appears that changes to the Avio signal processing software means that a very expensive video card is required to output the standard of signal for the Avio to capture it. So much for progress?
