Casablanca Portability Can't Post

I just purchased a new Casablanca Claro and I'm wondering about portability. Can you unplug the system and move it without losing your work? If you don't know about the claro, please address this issue for the other cassie systems, Avio etc. Thanks

Yes, any of the Casablanca digital video editors can be packed up and moved with your work staying intact on the HD. You may notice when you power off that power down that the unit will automatically save your work, then shut down. Just ensuure you are powering down with the 'Off' button in the menu and it will take care of this for you.

The system also has an auto-save that kicks in every 5:00 (if you wish to 'force' a save, you can click into the Record screen and back to whichever screen you are working in and it will save your work as well)!

Enjoy
Wink

Chet

I use my original AVIO as a portable unit for on site recording of events and concerts, even recording a live three or four camera setup through a vision mixer. These units (including the Claro) are very portable. In my case I have a separate set of leads, trackball and mains cords that reside in the suitcases that I use for the AVIO so that I do not get to a site and find I have left something behind. Obviously, you should take care not to bang the unit around and make sure that the side or end the unit will stand on when traveling does not impact on any plugs and sockets. Be brave and give it a try.Angelic Kangaroo
