Cassie floppy failure	Can't Post

It seems one of my system floppies is dead ! My cassie does not want to load it anymore. This floppy contains the 3.010 version.
I could load the 3.08, and 2 years ago i bought the 3.1 upgrade.
Is it ok to upgrade directly from 3.08 to 3.1 ?
The 3.010 upgrade provided the star effect. It it included in 3.1 ?
Macrosystem France told me i have to buy again a full 3.1 system.
Is it possible to do a backup copy of the floppy ?
