Cassie the £3000 box of rubbish Can't Post

I can sympathise with all you guys in America because I've just lost another wedding project on the machine that doesn't give you the headaches of a PC. The most deceitful piece of advertising I have ever seen. I'm now at the stage where I'm going to my lawyer because of Draco and their false claims. Numerous headaches, lost projects, irate clients and all the other problems that go along with it. Please spare me all the "My system works fine etc." because I've had mine for 2 years and yes when it worked it was a wonderful machine but now iit's a worthless black box and has been for nearly nine months. I would appreciate comments from others that have had faults so that I can show the comments, although I will delete names, to my lawyer. I won't be popular with Draco but I don't care anymore.

Hi,
Tony I am sorry that you are having all those problems. Before going to your lawyer try this: Make sure your Hard Drive is not overheating, one of the main reasons for green, red, video and other crashing errors is an overheated Hard Drive. The only problems I had with the “Casablanca I” were caused by that when I replaced the original 9 GB for one of 18 GB (it needed a cooler). I hope this has helped...

3 Cheers. It is so nice to know that I am not the only voice in the wilderness crying foul and have been ever since I bought the Avio 13 months ago. Instead of all the "promised add ons" why can't they just fix the basic software. I have had all your problems and more. I can't even get some of the fonts to scroll without shimmering. Good greif this is a basic pre-requisite in even the cheapest editor, not a $3000 dollar job. I won't start a major project in case I lose the lot again. Have you had the problem where the Avio stops playing at at a random clip anywhere on the story board? Or the one where a piece of sound refuses to render? Have you noticed that the preview in the trim window is about 5 or 6 frames short of the actual length? E-mail me and I will gladly supply a list of problems. Get a replacement Avio? I emailed a list of problems months ago and they just treat me as a troublemaker and ignore me. My dealer is never available and never returns my calls or my email. I would never recommend this editor to anyone and have talked at least half a dozen people out of buying this unit until the software problems are fixed.

I have to assume you are outside the United States because I have searched our database and do not list you as an owner. I had intended to call you to see if I could help. If you are a US owner, feel free to contact me but as of now, I can't find you.

Mr. Slone, the Avio owner Mr. Brian Liz is from Australia that is why you can't find him in your database. I felt compelled to answer you because if you really meant to help the unhappy users that address this forum (I believe you do) then you should really teach something to the folks of Macrosystem outside the US. Maybe I did not had to post the message “AVOID THE WORTHLESS AVIO”. Maybe they would have kept one more client. Keep on the good work Mr. Slone.

As an avio owner for 12months now, I must admit the machine is not very reliable! ,freezes using SVHS footage,
storyboard lockup, The latest one already disgarded footage during splitting, appearing on playback from the storyboard, and then then repeating earlier footage! im told this has occurred only on the US version! out of warranty, no fixes. no solutions. just would you like to buy the new effects? or perhaps the dv option? works great from time to time, but Im told to keep re installing the software! bit hard to do with 2 o 3 projects on the go at the one time?
