Cassie vs. Premiere 5.0 Can't Post

I'm a newbee to NLE. I'm on the fence between the two systems. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

John if you are or want to be a computer nerd and have lots of time to experiment by a premiere. If you want to start editing within ten minutes buy the cassie. New updates are coming that are greatly adding to the cassie's capabilities.

John. I was in the same place two months ago. I went with premiere. I've been totally concentrated on 5.1 for the last two weeks. and guess what, premiere rules and I have not even got into the good stuff yet. If you know your way around computer software and hardware. GO PREMIERE.
cassie's have their limits... i've already broken about 10 of them with premiere.

I've used both Cassie and Premiere, and I by far prefer Premiere. I do agree that if you're just wanting to do a little editing, and you don't need a computer for any use, cassie is probably the way to go. If you want to do anything else (word processing, drawing, internet, etc.) get Premiere. If you use any other Adobe products, they work great with Premiere. If you ever need to cut sound files together you can buy software - such as SoundEdit 16 - that works on your computer and import the resulting sound file into Premiere. With the Casablanca, you can't use outside apps. You just have what Draco has to offer. Cost wise it makes more sense as well, since you'll be using the computer for more than one thing.
