As CassieRep I walk the fine line of supporting MSUS and my Regional Dealers. I can tell you that MSUS has two different personalities, one when they are supporting their endusers and another when they support their Dealers. I present this info to provide you a view from the inside. MSUS is not a perfect company and these issues mentioned below have only added to the problems between MSUS and their Dealers. Eventually this effects the Dealer and how they support the user. From these instances you can see how a Dealer may become frustrated with MSUS. Earlier this year several Dealers made the following serious statements that they discovered that MSUS has... 1) Sold a KRON direct to a customer even though a Dealer was already involved. 2) Referred several potential customers who called in to MSUS asking where they can purchase AVIO, to Dealers several states away, not referring them to a local Dealer just a few miles away from the customer. MSUS denied each of these instances unless I could provide specific documentation, which I did and their responses are below... *** Subj: Re: MSUS Direct Sale From: davidrubine@casablanca.tv I tracked this KRON sale and we did sell it direct. David Rubine Central/Canadian Regional Sales Manager *** Subj: Re: AVIO Sale Referrals From: davidrubine@casablanca.tv Whether or not my staff had anything to do with this they can refer Avio sales to whomever they want to. MSUS has not violated any agreement regardless of the origin of the sale. As our rep, would you not side with the Dealer? Please always assume the company is committed to serving the Dealers and not screwing them. Please don't build a case here. David Rubine Central/Canadian Regional Sales Manager : Hi Big Al, : I am not sure if I am one of those former dealers you are talking about. I still use the Casablanca line of products everyday. : I got in trouble by MSUS, last year for speaking my mind on the Avio and some of its software. David threaten to pull the dealership and then I had another person call me (wouldn't tell me who he was), he yelled at me and threaten me about my postings. So, after that I had to play there game of "Praise the products or get lost" : I did not support and praise every single product out there, hell all of the dealers out there have a gripe about a few products that they sell. The dealers get all add on software for all of their systems FREE! Before the download system, dealers had to buy the softwares. : Former dealers grind there ax, because they are allowed to do so, they dont have MSUS doing the threatening game, no more. : I still support the Avio and few of its software add ons. I still teach training classes for local Avio/Kron users every month. And I am still here on these boards and have the AvioUsers list still going. I wouldn't be doing this if I didnt support the Avio, I have better things to do if I didnt : Ok, I am done. Email me if you have any other problems with me. : Travis "Gomer" : Gomervegas@cs.com : : Bob, : : To be fair MSUS run their own BB where FG, David and sometimes other staff members post regularly to answer questions etc. I think that is reasonable, expecting them to monitor and answer questions on other BB's is probably unreasonable they are running a business. : : I am not ungrateful, nor am I a slob and infact I do have a life. You must admit almost everything you post is negative and I for one use these boards for their intended purpose and not to read posts from people with an axe to grind ie. ex dealers who once thought and regularly posted positive comments about Casablanca products and how cool some of the new software is and now are no longer dealers (circumstances unknown) and funnily have nothing but negative comments for the products, doesn't say much for their integrity does it? Of course this may not apply to you Bob, as far as I know you never were a dealer of MS products. The fact is if their was one system that worked for everyone their would be only one system, the others would disappear. The Avio to my knowledge was originally intended as an entry level machine which was and still is very easy to learn to use and there are a lot of people using the Avio to earn a good living. PC/Mac matched with the right software have become very powerful editing tools but they are also not without problems which often the average user doesn't have the knowledge to solve, at the end of the day each to his/her own. : : How about this, I will stick to constructive and informative if you will and perhaps a couple of other guys who once seemed genuine in their praise for MS products might like to join us. : : BTW I didn't just show up I have been around a year or three, my life just doesn't allow the time to post here regularly ;-) : : Cheers, : : BigAl
