Cinemascope effect??? Can't Post

Why is it that when I view a DVD created on my Prestige, that during any cinemascope effect I used, the effect does not go all the way to the edge. If I watch the DVD on a tv, I can't notice it, but when I view it on a computer, you can see the video in the background at either end of the black bars of the cinemascope effect. This looks terrible. My clients use their computers to view videos, and this is just unacceptable. How can I correct this (and don't tell me I have to add the "border" effect to the entire video). Do computer editing systems work like this???

You may be able to play with the Image Size setting in SYSTEM SETTINGS (I think) to set a smaller or larger size before rendering. Alternatively, you could master the video to DV through a switcher (like MXPro DV), using a slight edge wipe to eliminate the problem. Then record back into the Prestige and master your DVD from there.
I would imagine that this is related to the vertical gray bars bug (gray bars to the left and right of the image) that MS has refused to correct in any version of Casablanca II software.

No, never, nada, absolutely unacceptable.

Already on Large Setting [In reply to] Can't Post

Unfortunately, I have already set the Image Size to large, which is what MS said to do. It didn't work. But thanks anyway.

You may need to set it to medium or small to eliminate the problem. Have you tried that?
