DHR-1000 vs Casablanca Can't Post

Hi, I'm looking for a low cost non linear editing system to edit my first project: 11 hours of video for a 40 minutes project. I have been impressed by the Cassie but I'm still wondering about the sony dhr-1000. Has anybody compared the two system?
Thank you for your help.

why do you compare a digital vtr like dhr 1000 and an nolinear
editing system like cassie?
with one dhr1000 you only can play your tape, with cassie you
can edit your video.

The DHR1000 is a DV VCR. The Casablanca is an Edit Suite.
Nothing to compare.

with casablanca you can edit your video in non-linear way complete
with special effects and titles and we're talking about using just
one component to do all these things and more!
with sony DHR-1000 which is just a DV vcr you will still need a
special effects generator, character genarator,an edit suite and
another vcr to accomplished what the casablanca can do,and to think
how much time you will be spending to do all these things in a linear
way..go for the casablanca.

There is nothing to compare between dhr-1000 sony and casablanca, the first one is a player-recorder (manetoscope) and the second a machine to realize films...
