The DMR-HS2 only comes in an external model -- stand-alone box about the same size as a DVD player. The DMR-E50 is similar in size, but only has the disc recording device, not the hard drive system. You can probably still do what you want if your budget is tight. But IMO, the HS2 will serve you better over time. bob : Thanks for the info. What is better an internal dvd or an external one? I typically dump a finished program onto the HS2 hard drive from Avio/Kron at XP quality, then split the video into segments, title them and burn out to DVD-R.
