Yes, I am in DV input on the Panasonic AG-DV1000. Wow! I wish I owuld have known about this issue before I purchased 7 decks. I hope that it will work soon. Steven : Hi Steven: : First, the 'bleeding obvious'--of course you have selected the DV port as your _input_ on the AG-DV1000 with the front panel switch, haven't you? : {I own both an Avio DV and the AG-DV1000}. : Second, and several other posters at the MSUS sponsored discussion board have painfully discovered as well as I have, that we haven't found anyone yet who has been successful in feeding DV back to the AG-DV1000 from the Avio and getting a perfect recording. : In my case, I get video and audio, but it whips back and forth on the screen while it's recording as if there's some perverse extreme time base error, and then while it plays back _nearly_ perfectly on the AG-DV1000 after that, there are intermittent digital dropouts of the video and audio during the course of the program upon playback. And worse, the tape won't interchange with a different (non-Panasonic) DV machine. : One poster on the MSUS site says that NONE of his Panasonic gear is compatible with the DV output stream from the Avio. He's contacted their tech support people, as have I, and have gotten nowhere with them. They point the finger at Panasonic, and I guess people have said that Panasonic disavows any problem on their part. : I just wish SOMEONE at MSUS would come to terms with this problem and stop ignoring it. And the irony is that I work for a company who is one of MSUS's biggest dealers for Avio and Kron and yet even we can't get an answer out of them as to why this is happening. For the moment we're advising all our potential Avio and Kron customers not to buy any Panasonic DV equipment to use with the MSUS equipment. I haven't had a stitch of trouble with Canon's I/O.
