It's my understanding that the DV option will NOT ship until
around Feb 2001. "We are accepting orders for the New Avio
DV beginning 10/00. They will ship with a certificate good
for a firewire upgrade. Please contact your dealer." Please

I would suggest you contact Draco regarding getting DV for
your AVIO. My guess is that once the DV option is ready,
there will be a waiting list for upgrades.

: I was told by my local sales contact that the Avio digital version would not be available until Feb of 2001, at the earliest. So, in August I made the decision that I couldn't wait until 2/2001, so I purchased. Now I find that the unit is available in Oct of 2000 and that those who purchased in Sept 2000 get a 'free' upgrade....? Although I love my AVIO, the sales folks or Draco should strive to be a little more accurate with the information they provide. With good information I could make better decisions.
