Firewire hard drives for removable storage? Can't Post

Does anyone know if the IEEE 1394 connection on the Avio will let it dump a project out to one of the new 1394 hard drives, then read it back? We've got a need for being able to have a lot more than just 3 projects that can be worked on.
Any other solutions would be appreciated also.
