Formating a second hand HD from another Cassie 1. Can't Post

I have had the chance to buy a second hand SCISSI Hard Disc from another Cassie 1 owner.
I had problems as the Hard disc wouldn't allow me to format it at first using my version 3 operating system.
When tring to reformat this hard drive it wouldn't happen. I tried several times mind you this hard Disc also had version 3 operation system on it & it functioned fine in my Cassie 1 but each time you started up the machine the Cassie said the Hard Drive wasn't from this machine. The drive & all effects & only some of the 3rd party programs would work.

The Cassie 1 wouldn't allow me to load any of my Programs onto this second hand hard disc.
After much mucking around I decided to load my old version 2 operating system into this second hand Cassie 1 hard drive which worked & then my version 3. This worked fine & all other effects & programs.
I think this is the only way to load up your operating system into a second hand Cassie 1 hard disc.
