HHHHHHHHHEEEEELLLP for future cassie owner! Can't Post

I am very close to buying a casablanca. Seems like an excellent machine at an affordable price, but have a couple of questions. If anyone can help it would be most appreciated.
What other (not to expensive) storage options are there with a cassie. I have been told it can store about 3 hours but how can
I store the finished articles. Would it just be easiest/cheapest to record finised item back to digital tape through DV in on camera???
I have heard it doesn't have audio scrubbing? What is this? I want my machine to be capable of have original camera audio, original camera audio with added sound, added sound on it's own i.e.soudtrack, (basically all variations!!!) is this ok?? Also, can you keep the audio in slow/fast motion sequences???
Is there a range of fonts, sizes....for titles?? Can you use digital images as backgrounds??
What good, non-tacky! Visual effects blah blah does it have???
If anyone can give me any list of + or - of the casablanca it would be great!!!!!!
Sorry I dont know the model name, It's black, 1000.00 pounds, ??????????
Hope someone can help.
Cheers.
Dods.

Dods,
The Avio offers all the tools you will need, including the ability to use audio from the original video and add two other tracks. You can take the audio from the original and use it wherever you want to as well.
Audio scrub means that you can hear or see the audio through a representation on the of it on the monitor as you edit it. The more expensive Casablanca Classic has this function, but is not available any more. The forthcoming Kron model, again a more expensive model, will have this capability. It is a nice feature, but not in any way liimiting as to your production ability or quality, since even when you have it, you must listen closely to the audio in order to decide where you want to cut. The Avio may offer this feature in the future as an upgrade.
The audio is not kept in fast or slow motion. Of course, the sound wouild be very distorted if it were available, so what would its value be?
The best option is to use a DV storage medium, either your camcorder or a DV deck, for storage.
There are a number of fonts that come with the unit, and they can be created in a wide variety of sizes, up to a size that will only allow a couple of letters on the screen. There are many options for scrolling, placing or fading pages of text. The quality is very, very good.
There are many transitions and effects. You will not find this a limiting factor. Again, the quality is very good.
The Avio is an all in one box, affordable, excellent quality digital editor that will provide a fine video product with a minimum amount of time spent learning its operation. The more you use it, the more you will find how powerful it is. It is a great machine at a very reasonable price.

Re: Help for future cassie owner! CASSIE OR KRON !!! [In reply to] Can't Post

No the Avio doesn't have audio scrub a very important tool to edit sound and the Avio also doesn't have insert video functions. Many details common to all and yes all present Casablancas are non existant on the Avio which is really an entry level editor and meant for the home editor although some are using it for pro use even with its limitations. Had my Cassie a couple years and always a joy to use daily. Put out hundreds of jobs on it so far and will keep as I pick up the Kron MPEG2 machine with same features and more. Aloha
