Kron upgrade Can't Post

Is the Kron upgrade an installment into the cassie or whole new machine. And will I still be able to run software(Akaba, elastic dreams, monument) with the Kron?
Thanks

The Kron is a whole new machine. Because it uses a different
microprocessor, with very different hardware, the software
for the Cassie wil NOT work on the KRON.

So, it wouldn't be wise for me to upgrade if I still wish to use Akaba etc.?

The Kron is mpeg 2 but Draco will have the answer as to compatibility of Cassie 2nd party software. Have used the Cassie a couple yrs. with great productivity and very pleased.May pick up another brand mpeg machine if Draco and the Macrovision drags the release. Many options now appearing on the market....some with DVD capability included.
