Kron won't let me copy my old VHS movies w/o crashing...	Can't Post

Any ideas? My ultimate goal is to convert my old VHS footage to DVD. I'm running OS 1.8, and 1.2 for the burner. I've tried Direct DV mode and mpeg mode. In either mode, after I've recorded footage, pressed the stop button, then press OK, I get that red outlined box in the center of my screen that tells me I'm about to crash. HELP!!! Are there some other setting that I'm not aware of?

Thanks for the advice Banned Bob...
Using my VCR's TBC option fixed the problem!!!
