Loss of sound	Can't Post

I am having problems with loss of sound when trying to firewire
transfer the edited result from my AVIO DV into
a PIONEER DVR 5100H DVD recorder.
My camera records in 16 bit/48K mode.(Panasonic DV110B)
Does the editor modify this in some way?
Have also tried using 12 bit/32K mode with same result.
Is there a software fix?
Any help /advice would be much appreciated.
