PC Link Via Firewire! (in Theory)	Can't Post

I have an Avio DV. The thing I don't like is that I can't export with firewire unless its a directDV project, and then there are no guarentees my PC and Avio will be compatible over the firewire.
I don't know if there are any limitations on the existing USB PC-LINK, but I hope that Casablanca can develop a firewire PC-LINK. That would make sense, right?
Higher bandwith = Good
Maybe one could export the video files to PC and then burn onto DVD via firewire
