PROBLEMS-installing new software

I am trying to install my VME 50 Kron software onto my Kron ver. 1.5d. However, whenever I go to install, instead of getting a prompt page of installing directions, I get a systems icon with a big blue question mark. When I take my smart media card out, I go under system settings and see the software there, but hidden. When I try to install it there, it asks me for my liscense number.I don't know my licsence number, as my dealer just sent me my smart media card software update. And, when I call my dealer, the Kron person who updated my software and mailed this to me, has left employment there as of YESTERDAY! What to do???? Please help, anyone. I could just be doing something wrong.
