That is correct. Bob's solution is faster :) I use the camera because I archive the project to tape as well. : Hi again, : So let me get this straight and please feel free to correct me. : 1. Either get a video capture card for the computer where I want the files to be EXPORTED to OR get a DV camera with firewire connection. : 2. Capture into the computer or the camera the casablanca files : 3. If into the computer, I can use whatever editing software I have (ie. Premiere Pro or Final Cut (Mac)), correct? : 4. If into the camera, then its pretty much another step where I download it to the computer as well to edit as I see fit, correct? : Thanks again. I'm a bit slow but learning =) : Larry : : : 1. Export the video clip out of the Avio/Prestige/Kron on to tape on your camera. Firewire export is best. : : 2. Import that clip on your camera tape via firewire into a computer that has a capture card and a basic video editing software program (Windows Moviemaker will work as a last resort) : : 3. Once you have imorted the video in, it should be in the format you want. You can use a simple video editing software to format the video clip to a particular format (Quicktime, WMV, etc) and adjust the bit rate. : : : : : Hi there, : : : I have a friend who edits his videos on a casablanca machine : : : (which I don't know anything about) and wants to put some clips : : : on the web. : : : 1. How does one convert the clips to say, AVI or MOV and then : : : export them? : : : 2. Is this possible? : : : 3. What are the proper steps? : : : sorry, I'm just learning. : : : thanks, : : : Larry
