In early August, California officials will make critical choices about protecting ocean wildlife along the Central Coast through a network of marine protected areas. Commercial interests are lobbying hard for the weakest of four alternative plans. We need your support to create an underwater legacy as impressive as our state park system on land. The strongest network—and the one supported by the Monterey Bay Aquarium—will restore depleted fisheries and protect critical habitats and ocean animals, including sea otters, rockfishes, crabs, octopuses and other wildlife.
