I suppose that depends on what you're trying to do.
Cheers!

CS will do the job you're looking to do for videowork with Photoshop.
That's my opinion.

I'm still on Photoshop 7.0 and it does everything I need it to for video work. I even do graphics stuff on the side and Photoshop 7.0 in conjunction with Illustrator 10 is all I ever need.

I hope that helps!
Cheers.

Are you doing video, photography, or both?
If you need everything in the bundle it is a great deal.(see individual prices)
It is a total work solution from acquisition to final DVD. The learning curve for all of the programs at once might be steep. If you are on a budget and already own sonic DVDit and PS 7 you could consider Premiere elements and decide later whether or not you want the whole bundle.
Good luck

Hi Andrew

The only real advantage is that you can load an after effects project into PremierePro2, now saying that, unless you have all the AE filters and plugins available in Ppro2, then the project will not render out the same as rendering inside AE and exporting it

Motion blur for instance is not an option inside PPro (currently), so any tracks with applied motion blur will not reflect that once inside PPro2.

I have to figure it wont be long until Ppro2 has more of the advanced features already inside AE because its a practically useless feature right now except for simple projects.

I think if you qualify for the Production Studio Premium upgrade, it's well worth the money for everything you get with it.. I'm very happy with Adobe PSP and like Gary says somethings aren't perfect yet, but the workflow is just great in my opinion..

As previously mentioned, it does depend on whether you need all the extra programs that are included. I own the production suite, and I use all of the elements. I really like that the latest update also includes Illustrator CS2. If you are only needing PS for your image editing, I don't think you would need the full production suite though. Since a lot of what I do involves the use of motion graphics and DVD creation, the full production suite fits my requirements nicely.

I would go with the whole enchelada. It is worth it to buy bundled softwares as each seperate app costs more money.
