Auto cut multiple pics from scan Can't Post

I have been told that PS can automatically cut pics out of a scan when you scan multiple pics at one time. I.E. scan 4 pics at once and PS will select and create a new image of each picture that was scanned, making 4 pics from 1 scan. I cannot find out how to do this. Anyone knowing how to, please instruct me how to do this.

I'm looking at cs2... so I'm not sure about previous versions...
