Hi all - Not sure where to put this one, but since I'm using Photoshop I thought I'd give this forum group a try !! I've just been requested by a flight simulation software company to do their bitmap graphics for their custom panels and gauges. If any of you have seen or used the latest genre of flight simulation software, you'll see those panels are first class, hi-rez, 3-D looking graphics - nice work. Without patting myself on the back too much (ouch), I, too, do pretty good bitmap work and now have a question on how I might price these now valuable graphics. It takes me about 1 to 2 hours to do each gauge, which might or might not include various styles of buttons (push, recessed, extended, two state, etc), knobs and thumbwheels. How much do you think I should charge for each one ? Since I'll be doing a lot of them, I'll probably group discount them per package ... but just for curiosity sakes (and because I have no clue as to the worth), what would you, the typical Photoshop artist charge for each one, considering it might take you about 2 hours each to do one from scratch ? Here's a sample of a few, not mine - but just what a sampler looks like to give you an idea. The average pixel size would be roughly 200x200 for an individual gauge, whether square or rounded.
Thanks for any help here. Vidguyz
