It's so nice when a client gives you a production element that's all ready to go! You don't even need Photoshop for this. 1. Import the logo into your nonlinear editing program as an image. 2. Use the logo image as a mask over your incoming clip. Most NLEs will have some masking options. The one you want will be called something like "alpha channel mask". If the video appears around the dancer instead of inside, simply invert the mask. 3. I would suggest for the transition that you do the following: 3a. Using a pan/crop/position tool, keyframe the incoming clip, with the mask overlayed (might have to render this into a new clip first, depending on your NLE). Arrange for it to fly in over the outgoing clip, then zoom to full size. 3b. Now keyframe the masking image only, to zoom out so that eventually all the black vanishes out to the sides and we are left with only the incoming video clip. Regards, Doug Graham Panda Productions
