Photoshop for PC not the Same as MAC Can't Post

When I create a bunch of layers in Photoshop CS2 on my PC and try to import it into Final Cut Pro it will not see it as a sequence and only shows me the top most visible layer. If I take that same file and save it on the MAC in Photoshop CS2 it will import it as a sequence and show me all the layers.

Any idea how to get this to work on the PC? Is there a fix or workaround so I can still create Photoshop images on the PC and import into Final Cut Pro on the MAC?

can you open the PC Photoshop CS2 files on your Mac and just resave them? that might solve your problem. if anything it's a quick way to see if there is a problem with the PC Photoshop files.

daremo:

Yes, if I open in Photoshop for the MAC and resave it then open in FCP it works OK. I was hoping that there is a fix or some other workaround to the problem so we don't have to do that extra step.

Not sure about this, but doesn't the MAC have a different extension related to the files? It may be an extension issue?

Try checking your file saving preferences. Make sure that it is always lower case extensions, and also maximize backward compatibility

I will give that a try and repost with the results. Why can't we all just get along? PC, MAC, who cares.

That did not seem to work. It has to be a MAC/PC thing. I will contact Adobe and see what they have to say about it.

Thanks,

Joey
