"THE" Photoshop book for Videographers! Can't Post

Hello,

I noticed this forum is fairly new. I have been using photoshop for about 6 years now and have mixed it with video for the past 3 years. If I had to suggest one book on the topic, I would suggest the following:

Photoshop CS for Non Linear Editors by Richard Harrington

His book is great and should be read by anyone wanting to use photoshop and DV together. He also has a DVD series with DSE and the VASST crew over at www.VASST.com. The DVDs are a little pricey, but there is a wealth of information there. Richard is a forum moderator on Creativecow.net, another forum I frequent and if you post any questions in the photoshop forum, he usually answers them quickly.

I have not read the following book yet, but It is also on amazon.com:

Photoshop for Digital Video : Creative Solutions for Professional Results by Mike Gondek

I actually have Photoshop for Nonlinear Editors by the same author which I believe was the book before CS came out. I have to shyly admit that I have not read through the book due to being so busy but I grabbed it off the shelf after seeing your post and glanced through it very quickly and there is a WEALTH of information in it so I will start reading this book again! Thanks for the reminderWink

Rich's book (and knowledge) are indeed a must-have for the videographer, and that's why we did the DVD series w/him. No doubt, it isn't a cheap set of DVDs, but at 6 hours...it was very expensive to produce. We're doing another series with him soon, and they'll be shorter and cheaper.
I've reviewed both editions of Rich's books, and love em. He's got another in the works right now.

I've not been asked, and given how some folks here see a Preditor like me being involved, in weddings, I'm not sure if they'd ask. Wink
But would love to do it.
