APP2.0 - audio issues when capturing miniDV (LP) Can't Post

Hi everyone!
I am having more audio issues...
I am using APP2.0 (Adobe Premiere Pro) to capture video footage from a miniDV tape that was recorded with the LP setting. This is a customer tape, and I am using my Panasonic DV camcorder for playback. The camcorder is connected directly to my PC via firewire cable. When I capture the footage, the audio has dead spots every few seconds. When the captured footage is played back in APP a horrible buzzing sound can be heard in these dead spots. Has anyone experienced this, and if so is there a solution? Also, I have captured my personal tapes and other customer tapes with my camcorder to APP2.0 and have had no problems. Could this be a tape issue or an issue with the camcorder that did the recording?

After having written the above, I did a little searching and it seems that I may need the camcorder that actually recorded this video to playback the tape.

Thanks for any input,
Angela

Yep, you've answered your own question. The original camera will give you the best shot at a clean recording.

And if I don't have access to this camcorder then I am screwed, right? Or I just tell the customer that the audio is totally unusable.

"And if I don't have access to this camcorder then I am screwed, right? Or I just tell the customer that the audio is totally unusable. "

Try using a Sony cam or deck for playback, they are miles ahead of Pana for playing back problem tapes.
