VHF wireless receiver? Can't Post

Even though I use the Sennheiser UHF wireless kit during the ceremony now, I am noticing that it is useless when I want to pick up the speeches at the reception, as many of the hotels use a VHF wireless system rather than UHF.

Anybody recommend a good VHF receiver?

I am thinking that finding a camera mount VHF receiver that will have multiple frequencies is going to be tough. Even if you find one, there is a good possibility that it will not get all the frequencies that you need.

Many here have started using the Sennheiser e604 attached to a wireless transmitter in front of the DJ speakers. This assumes that you have a DJ or band, but most do.

If you are trying to pick up off the house system, I have done both of the following.
  1. Tape my handheld to the house handheld. Works great, but is a bit ugly and awkward.
  2. I have talked the house into using my handheld and hooked my receiver into the house system. I then tune my second receiver to the same frequency and hook it to my camera. The obvious drawback here is that you have to own two sets that that can tune to the same frequency.

Doughnuts.......Is there nothing they can't do?

Are you wanting to tune into the reception venue's frequencies? Good luck with finding someone that has a clue as to what frequencies their actually using.

The hotels normally have a sticker on the bottom of their own receiver with the frequency printed on it.

So far they all seem to be in the 170's.
