iPod question... Can't Post

Does anyone know off hand if the iPod Nano (the new ones)
and the iPod touch or Classic have different resolutions? Or
anything that makes the picture better one over the other?
Thanks,

I'm not sure if the resolutions are different, but I've held the new iPod Nano with video and I just found it to be way to small to display work! It was almost as if you had the hold the thing up to your nose to really see it, and it can only get worse as we all start to do 16x9 stuff.

Laura....I just got my wife the new iPod Nano. the resolution is still 320x240. The screen itself is a little smaller than the regular iPods. I loaded a few videos on there (one in 16x9) and it looks pretty good to me. I don't have to hold it next to my nose to see it either. Tongue It is pretty vivid and clear. It is small but the form factor is incredible and videos do look decent. For the size and weight it is pretty incredible. Go to the store and try one out. They may not have videos on it to try out but you can get an idea of the usablity. I read some reviews online before buying it and many said they were worried about the smaller screen size but the images seemed clearer than older models and was still very good.

Sherry loves hers....of course we got the green one.

Just one SDE that we did a few weeks ago for a customer that has become a good friend. The groom arrived in full tux on his Harley and they even have us considering getting a motorcycle to go riding with them....no Harley for me....can't afford one of those....I'm just a videographer after all. I have a chance for a really nice Honda that looks like a Harley for a good price. If you want to see the clip I put on her iPod it is the Motorcycle post on my blog. I really does look pretty good on there.

We have a huge wedding show coming at the end of October and I want to have her iPod out with it playing and have it on a docking station. I want to show people we can put their video on mulitple devices. I will also have one playing on my new Motorola Q cell phone. People are sometimes attracted to things like iPods and phones playing videos.

Laura, I know you proabably don't want to hear this but the best way to display your work on the go is an iPhone. Great resolution, 16:9 aspect, and built in speaker.

Well, once they get through all of their problems that might be a really good idea.
I just signed on to a plan recently so I don't really want to loose money on the
phone.

Is that what you have? I've heard they have great screens. How do you buy service
for them?

Problems? Which do you speak of- mine has performed flawlessly, I love it.

Service for it? Cake! ....Dock it, plug the USB cable in, load iTunes and it does all the work for you, including activation. You just have to chose the plan you want using the guided assistance. Took maybe 5 minutes to choose a plan and activate the phone.

The nanos are 320x240 and letterbox 16:9 footage. iPhones/iPod Touches are 640x480. iPhones are the way to go. I've heard tons of problems with video displaying weirdly on Touches. Saw one the other day and the colours are wacked. PLUS, you can't add memos or use macmail on your touch. For only a few dollars more, def. get an iPhone and unlock it if necessary.

Laura ... the people that are having problems are the ones that hacked their own system or sent them away to be hacked. The newest upgrade screwed a lot of people over, but it was their own fault.

AT&T is still the only carrier in the states and I believe they have a 5 year contract with Apple.

I can't get AT&T in my area or I would have one.
