Audio question using MA-100 & Premier	Can't Post

Recently I taped a segment using two wireless mics plugged into my XL-1 via the MA-100 XLR adapter. One mic on the right channel--one on the left. The audio sounded fine in the headphone--but when I went to dump the tape to Premier 6.5 I heard another story. The left channel was clear and crisp the right sounded hollow like the mic wasn't even on. I checked the tape, the left channel was strong.

Any thoughts on why Premier would favor one audio channel or another?
How can I correct this and avoid it in the future?
