Best light for GL? Can't Post

I own a Canon GL1 with the 0.7x wide angle lens and the VL10 light for filming real estate promotional videos. The problem is that the light does not work so well with the wide angle lens, being bright in the centre and darkening towards the fringes. All of the light dispersion techniques that I have tried tend to make the light too dim to be much use. I was wondering whether anyone else has had some success with a light that might be more suitable for this purpose? One that is more powerful, has a wider angle of light dispersion, and is compatible with the GL1?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Z

There are some reasonably priced 40 watt+ lights that will fit on the GL1 - the Bescor KLK-624D has two bulbs side-by-side so it does have a wider angle than the usual single bulb light. It runs about $70 including a battery pack and a diffuser: http://www.adorama.com/BOKLK624D.html

Zebron. I was considering buying the video light you currently own. I am trying to get a light for my gl2 that I can use to film after dark. I use my camera for filming hunting videos and sometimes when you need to recover animals after dark I can't use my camera. If you think the light would help illuminate the people and animal enough to see, and you would be interested in selling yours, I may be interested in buying your light if the price is right. Let me know.
thanks,

Bob,
I too am looking for a light for my GL-1. The one you recommended looks great. Does it come with all the necessary accessories to charge it and such? Basically, are there any hidden accessories that I'd have to buy with it, or does it come ready to use?

Thanks.

Brandon

It seems to have everything including two bulbs and a charger.
