Canon GL1 and Final Cut Pro 1.25 Can't Post

Have bought a new Mac G4 dual processor and installed Final Cut Pro. I am now researching buying a camera in the $2000 range. The GL1 has been recommended by someone who works on Avid but I have heard from another source who has Final Cut Pro that a Sony camera interfaces better. Any comments.

The GL1 works just fine. You will need to copy a file into the FCP directory in order to tune the camera interface for FCP. Instructions can be found at this link.
