There are a few programs that can do this. Only catch is,they do it through and analog signal, which means you need to get an ATI all in wonder card or somthing similar. I made a lot of claymations using a program called anazazi stop motion animator. It lets you do onion skinning, and a bunch of other stuff. then exports it as an AVI. They had a website but it is gone, so I put the file on my site. here is a link to it; http://members-dev.tripod.com/karl151k/KarlsKlaymation/SMA_Full.exe There is another program that does the same stuff but it costs $200. They have a demo for free and a trial version for $50. Their site is www.stopmotionpro.com. If you have to have that firewire connection there is a firewire webcam out there, here is a link to it; http://www.cwol.com/firewire-cameras/pyro-webcam.htm If you want to see some of my claymations I made using Anazi, goto http://clik.to/animation : Doing a Claymation project with XL1 owner leary of a zillion record head engagements. Is there a card/program that will allow the XL1 to pose as a "firewire" passthrough for direct to disk capture? any suggestions would be appreciated..gb
