Date/time display in GL2 Can't Post

I'm looking to get into taping depositions, and need to be able to record the time and date information from the camera, on-screen.

I have a GL2, and I'm trying to figure out if it will allow me to do this. I won't actually be recording with the GL2's deck. Instead, I'll be taking a signal from the AV in/out port on the GL2, and going to a DVD/VHS recorder.

I can get the time and date info on-screen, and can get rid of the other text, but I can't seem to get rid of the audio level indicators. Does anyone have any idea if it's possible to get *only* the time and date info on-screen?

Thanks,

Andrew

Re: [Andrew Howard] Date/time display in GL2 [In reply to] Can't Post

I seem to recall there is a menu function called "character record" that allows you to do this... I'm not sure. I need to get the GL2 to mess around with it to be certain.

If you haven't already, you might want to try the DVinfo site for GL2 forums. CLICK HERE TO GO THERE

Cheers!
