Display on XL1 - URGENT! Can't Post

I am currently shooting a two camera shoot using a XL1 and a XL1s.

We are unable to remove the time code display and battery info on the xl1.

We were able remove all info on the xl1s however. Can anyone help me remove the display?

We have a shoot tonight and this has to be fixed. I would appreciate your help a great deal.

thanks in advance,

Michael

figured it out [In reply to] Can't Post

I did what I should have did in the beginning.... looked to see if anyone else had the same problem.

XL1 needs the remote to shut the display off. CRAPPY ENGINEERING!

Most zoom controllers can also turn off the display.

Sounds like you are speaking of the display in the analog video output. Default is timecode display ON while recording an camera/camcorder mode, and OFF while in playback (VRC) mode.

Yes, I was referring to the output over the analog video outs (RCA and S-Video)

With XL1 you have to use remote control unit to remove time code display and others.
Diferent than Xl1S.
