Flyingpod II Can't Post

Has anyone tried the Flyingpod II or XL? I've seen video of the Steady Tracker and that is very impressive. The Flyingpod is about half the price, but based on the same principle. I would think that if the balance is correct the thing should be steady.

Re: Flyingpod II Can't Post

My friend bought a Flyingpod II for his VX-1000 with a monitor and I got to shoot with it, I loved it. The price has gone up since he bought his but I think it is still under $150 he paid under $100. It is a very simplistic device that keeps the camera upright and is very easy to use. I did some test shooting (about 10 minutes) with it and found it to work great. You have to learn to brace your arm but it comes pretty quickly. Your arm gets tired so you might want to work out a little first.

Also check out the Skywalker at www.skycrane.com
Works well for overhead and ground shots.
