Focus Problems in Frame Mode Can't Post

I've been shooting a movie short with my Canon GL1 and have consistently had focus problems using frame mode. Is there a back focus adjustment or other remedy to this problem.
The focus drifts in and out despite the camera being in "manual focus." Any suggestions??
thanks, Kevin

Kevin
Are you making use of image stabilizer? I've noticed (in full manual) that the image stabilizer goes AWOL every now and then and tries to stabilize a stable image, especially noticeable when using the max zoom of the 16x lens. The solution, I hardly make use of the image stabilizer!
Hope this helps?!
As for a back focus adjustment - we (every owner of an XL1) wishes there was such a feature!(if anyone from canon reads this - this is more than a hint!!!!!!!!)

Also make sure you are not having you depth-of-field changing. If you are using a narrow dof a small change in subject's position can force it out of focus.

Not every XL1 owner wishes they had backfocus, because many of us do. It comes with the 14x lens.
