Focus problem with canon xl1s	Can't Post

Guys, I am having focusing problem with my new canon xl1s I just got 2 weeks back.
The focus is lost when I zoom in and out.
I increased sharpness thru menu, I increased gain, used external video light in low light situation, used a Tripod, Focused auto, Focused manually and what not.
Please help...

: Guys, my camera XL1s has a problem when stat recording all indicators such us time code is rolling but whwn I played it back all data time code didn't work , for your information it has been monyh since I sent my camera to Canon service Centre in Jakarta Indonesia but up to now the service centre has not been able to detect what is wrong with the camera , Would you please help me solve the problem..,
