GL-1 vs everything else Can't Post

I am looking for some help with what camera I should buy. I have been doing a ton of research but am still a bit confused as to what I should do. I really like the GL1 but have been thining that something smaller could be a better way to go. Get more use etc. How much of a drop off in picture quality am I going to see from a 3 chip to a mega pixel one chip like the sony? Any other thoughts on the topic is much appreciated.

My GL1 picture is pretty astounding. I don't know why you want a smaller camera, but for me the GL1 is too small. My second camera is a Canon Elura three chip and you talk about small! Control knobs are tiny, which is the problem when your eye is in the viewfinder. I'm still looking for a well designed shoulder prop so the GL1 approximates my old heavy stable vhs camera. How are you using the camera that small size matters to you?

Well do not forget that the GL has a lens which many other cams do not. The mega-pixel are just fine for making great images, but if you want high quality color and top-notch video, you really should look at the three-chippers.
Try before you buy. You should be able to find the cameras you are looking for at most camera stores and some video stores.
