HDV vs. DV in Canon A1 Can't Post

We are shooting a wedding this weekend in a low light situation, acutally on the family farm in the barn. They only want SD widescreen. We usually shoot in HDV and downconvert off the timeline to SD for the Mpeg2 file. I'm wondering if there would be any low light advantages by shooting SD in the camera, or would sticking with HDV acquisition be prefered.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or experience with this.

There isn't a difference from what I can tell... but play with your presets to make use for good low light footage!
