Imovie not recognizing Canon GL 1 at all, driving me crazy Can't Post

Hello
I have an Ibook special edition with Imovie but my newly bought GL (well actually XM but I'm from the Netherlands) has only once been recognized by my computer. I read here on this page that that sometimes happens but after switching it on off it was oke again for them. For me however nothing seems to work and apple can't help me either. It really sucks cause the reason I bought all this equipment was for editing films. I'm really, really frustrated.
Cheers Filip
