Inexpensive DV deck Can't Post

Anyone know of an inexpensive DV deck or an actual DV camcorder that can be used for non-liner editing. I want to keep the wear off my XL1. Thanks

Some folks use the Canon ZR-10 (or other similar models). The lowest cost MiniDV deck is probably the Sony GV-D300, costs more thatn the ZR camcorder.

I use the Sony DV D300 (about $1,000) and love it. It's great for non-linear editing and I also use it to transfer VHS and non-digital HI-8 for edit jobs so that I have have a media with time-code and can then do batch capture on FCP. I also use it for public video projector shows as the compactness and the use of a battery (versus finding an AC outlet)make it very convenient and also provides a higher quality than VHS. Lastly, as an extra backup I use it to archive completed video projects to a MiniDV format. It's almost as loyal as a good dog.
