Lots of scams on ebay for xl1s beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't Post

Yes Folks there are people in the chech republic, Italy and UK constantly trying to get people to wire money with the whole tracking number story. There is also people like Nikki who do it all in their own name. There are however good sellers on ebay that sell packages with a cheap tripod and lenses filters and such. They don't run too much, but don't expect to get good accesories from these packages. I guess I'm just trying to inform people to be careful when buying high dollar electronics on line. Ebay takes no responsibility for the thieves in their den either so don't be too mislead with all the buyer protection bull.

Whatch out for Amazon.com.
There is a person selling XL1s very cheap but you need to use escrowagent.com which is in Italy and must wire money to an individual. The person uses several aliases and will even review themselves. One ketch is they claim they have a friend in UPS and the funky "e" reversed on european keyborads.
What this scamer

Western Union is now stating specifically that their service is for wiring money ONLY to people you know (see it in Safety Center on ebay).

Ive uncovered2 stolen accounts this week alone by searching for high priced equipment at a dirt cheap price, checking the previous auctions by the seller that had nothing to do with the current item, and sending it to ebay.

WATCH if someone selling has a high feedback, but most of it for <$10 items.
It is either a stolen account, or, it really is the theif, just building up his fedback with cheap sales, hoping nobody will look past the high feedback number.

i think i met the same guy on amazon. i looked into it and he was selling a Mac g4 laptop and a GL2 all for the same price. for all of them he said that it was an "unwanted gift". he wanted to use escrowstd and he said that he was in italy. i didn't do it, i would recomend being very careful on ebay and amazon.
