No headphone output -- anyone opened up the case? Can't Post

I have lost the headphone audio on the GL-1. This may be a
mechanical problem with the switch on the headphone plug. Has
anyone opened up the case and if so is it easy to do?
thanks

Double check your audio monitor setting. You might have the monitor pointing to Audio2 and unless you have audio on those channels, you will hear nothing.

The audio setting is ok. This seems to be a mechanical problem;
the speaker remains on with the phone jack inserted, and no audio
comes through the head phones. Probably has to go back to Canon.

I sure wouldn't pop the case. It should void your warranty if you are still covered. I'm not too good at micro surgery anyway.
