P+S Technik Mini 35 Digital Image Converter vs. XL1 to PL Can't Post

Okay, I need some serious insight for this one. I have been looking seriously at purchasing the P+S Technik Mini 35 Digital Image Converter for my XL1. It is quite cost prohibitive (like the cost of two XL2's!!). Today, I stumbled across http://www.xl1solutions.com and saw their XL1 to PL mount adapter for a fraction of the cost. Looked at the video samples and was impressed. Does anybody know what the differences are and if the cost difference is worth it?

http://dvinfo.net/.../images/images18.php has an article and they say they will have a review but I'm not sure they ever did. The XL1solutions adapters double the focal length of the lens and but you should avoid a lot of the light loss of the P+S. With the P+S the depth of field and focus measurements remain exactly the same for the XL1 as they would on a 35mm motion picture camera, according to Chris Hurd at dvinfo. If you can live with those differences, the sample images certainly look pretty good.

I have seen plans on the net. Just do a google search for 35mm adapter. The plans are realitively inexpensive to build. If you already have some 35mm lens left over from your old SLR, it won't cost you much. Maybe $20-45. I plan to build one of these myself. There are more than a dozen ways to build it. Most of them involve a spinning frosted disk. It doesn't look to complicated. Good Luck!
