Problem with GL1 Can't Post

I'm curious to know if anyone else has had the problems I'm having with my GL1 and if they know what causes them and/or any work-arounds to make the symptoms go away.
One problem is that sometimes I get black horizontal bars running across the entire length of the picture on playback. It usually happens when I first turn on the camera to play back a tape and it will often go away after a while or sometimes if I mildly move the camera up and down.
The other problem is that when I take shots while I'm walking, with the camera handheld, the slight bouncing motion of my walking causes the picture to very briefly get darker. It looks like black flashing and is very annoying. This even happens when
what is in the picture is not changing much-the bouncing alone causes it to happen, not a sudden large change in what the camera is looking at.
